چکیده
Fluoride and arsenic are hazardous inorganic contaminants due to associated health risks relatively higher levels of occurrence in groundwater. Metal-organic frameworks, (MOFs) with their high surface area, versatile building blocks numerous active sites, a novel approach fluoride uptake. This review presents the different types MOFs for removal along study dynamic breakthrough times cost analysis. MOF performances based on variety synthesis methods, notable among which solvothermal one is more described. However, all research works concluded that have poor yield compared conventional adsorbents. But, adsorption capacity, tailored chemical structure ionic uptake make them favorable option than many other The usually varies between 0.1 5 US$/g depending routes.

Removal Of Fluoride From Water And Waste Water By Using Low Cost Adsorbents
India is among 23 nations where in a large population suffers from dental and skeletal flourosis due to high fluoride concentration in ground water. The prominent states, which are severely affected, are Andhrapradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Fluoride beyond desirable amounts (0.6 to 1.5 mg/l) in ground water is a major problem in many parts of the world. Taking the se...

The low cost adsorbents namely Rice Husk Carbon (RHC), Wheat Straw Carbon (WSC) and Saw Dust Carbon (SDC) have been tested for the effectiveness in decolourisation of wastewater containing a mixture of dyes. Three dyes namely crystal violet, direct orange and magenta have been used for imparting colour in the representative samples of wastewater. Effect of various parameters such as agitation t...
متن کاملArsenic removal from water/wastewater using adsorbents--A critical review.
Arsenic's history in science, medicine and technology has been overshadowed by its notoriety as a poison in homicides. Arsenic is viewed as being synonymous with toxicity. Dangerous arsenic concentrations in natural waters is now a worldwide problem and often referred to as a 20th-21st century calamity. High arsenic concentrations have been reported recently from the USA, China, Chile, Banglade...
متن کاملFabrication of cu based metal-organic framework / graphene Nanocomposite and study electrochemical performance in supercapacitors
High conductivity and high level of electrolyte availability are the main requirements of active materials used in supercapacitors (SCs) to achieve high electrochemical efficiency. In recent years, metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have been used as electrode materials for SCs due to their suitability of porosity and high surface area. However, using single-component MOFs in supercapacitors resul...
متن کاملArsenic removal from water using low-cost adsorbents – a comparative study
Inorganic arsenic removal from water using low-cost adsorbents is presented in this paper. Selective removal of As(III) and As(V) from water was performed with natural materials (zeolite, bentonite, sepiolite, pyrolusite and limonite) and industrial by-products (waste filter sand as a water treatment residual and blast furnace slag from steel production); all inexpensive and locally available. ...
